About the project: When a Toronto beggarman complains to his beggarwoman of getting unnoticed, she crafts him a mask of Donald Trump to make him seen again. Rate: This is an unpaid, non-union project, but you’ll get credited on IMDb and it’s a great chance to build your portfolio. Once a beggar with a “HELP NEEDED” sign, Sam struggles to articulate why people should help him with their hard-earned money. Advised by a friend, he’s transitioning to selling tulips near the CN Tower in Toronto, using a Trump impersonation to draw attention.
A mysterious, introspective woman, Lila is an unhoused street performer, using her theatrical skills to earn a better living than Sam. Her “HELLO WORLD” sign is part of the act, drawing crowds to her performances. She exudes a blend of wistful hope and quiet strength, with expressive eyes and subtle gestures that reveal her inner depth. Her presence speaks volumes.
