About the musical: "Merry Men Live" is an original Robyn Hood musical. When Robyn is forced to run away to the forest she bands together with a found family of outcasts to fight back. But when faced with the Sheriff, the King, and most dangerous of all: love, the Merry Men must come together or risk losing their family forever. Robyn is the leader and founder of the Merry Men. She always makes it look like she knows what she's doing and loves to show off a little. She is driven by her anger over the monarchy and the way society has treated her as well as the desire to protect the people she cares about. She's also an incompetent romantic.
John is Robyn's oldest friend. While they have lead vastly different lives they are kindred spirits in many ways. John is a calm and focused presence to contrast Robyn's energy. John is Ace Aro and struggles with the fear of loosing his friendship with Robyn when she falls in love.
Will runs away from home to join their aunt, Robyn, in Sherwood. They are the youngest member of the Merry Men and feel a need to constantly prove themselves and their value in the group. This desire tends to be foiled by there inexperience and incompetence in many areas.
Marian is an advisor in the kings court. After hearing the stories of Robin Hood she journeys to Sherwood to see him for herself. A chance meeting with the real Robyn makes her reconsider her identity and world view, but love is hard.
Tuck is the oldest of the Merry Men. He has two modes, loyal supporter and mentor, or lover of all things alcoholic.
Allen is the minstrel of the Merry Men. He's always playing and instrument and keeps everyone in high spirits.
The Sheriff is the face of law in Nottingham. He believes strongly in justice and order, but his belief in the monarchy is challenged by his child and a hard forgotten connection to Robyn Hood.
Henry will do anything to keep his power. He has a strong understanding of public image and a hatred for anything that contradicts the status quo.
Merry Men Live features a small Ensemble that plays background parts as well as a number of small speaking and singing parts.
