Singing Audition for "Godspell" Musical Show
The company is holding auditions for musical "Godspell" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Rate: All cast members will receive a participatory stipend. Additional info: Seeking a diverse and dynamic cast of ten performers for Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak’s beloved musical Godspell. This ensemble-based show requires strong singers, expressive actors, and high-energy performers comfortable with improvisation and audience interaction. All roles require strong comedic and dramatic skills. What to Prepare: 32 bars (or no more than 90 seconds) of a song that showcases your vocal ability. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Rehearsals Begin: Monday, June 16 Evenings & Saturdays (No rehearsals on Fridays or Sundays) Schedule will be based on actor availability, with reasonable conflicts accommodated. Performance Run: July 24 – August 3 (8 performances) Thursdays – Sundays at 8:00 PM Tech Week: Begins Friday, July 18 (mandatory for all actors) Please apply if interested.

(Tenor, A2-G5) The loving and charismatic leader who teaches his followers through parables and song. A warm, gentle presence with great emotional depth, humor, and strength. Must command the stage effortlessly and connect deeply with the ensemble and audience.
(Baritone, A2-E5) John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus, baptizing him at the beginning of the show. Judas is later torn between devotion and betrayal. This role requires a strong singer and an actor who can navigate both inspirational leadership and internal conflict.
Soprano (C4-F5) – Bright, expressive, and capable of soaring high notes. Often sings the beautiful “Day by Day.” Ensemble
Mezzo-Soprano (B3-E5) – Warm and soulful, often leading heartfelt moments like “By My Side.” Ensemble
Alto (G3-E5) – Strong belter, brings depth to songs like “Turn Back, O Man.” Ensemble
Tenor 1 (C3-G5) – Dynamic and expressive, often leading “All Good Gifts.” Ensemble
Tenor 2 (B2-G4) – Energetic and versatile, contributes to harmonies and leads “We Beseech Thee.” Ensemble
