About the project: A dark comedy mockumentary that follows one weekend in the life of a vampire. Anacaona lives in Portland and works as a schoolteacher. She is of Taino descent, exclusively lives off the blood of white people (because reparations never really happened), and can’t stand the imperialist US. She lives in Portland because of its frequent overcast, rain, and its unique qualities. This mockumentary shows her day-to-day life from her job to how she participates in Portland nightlife and what she does to decompress from the strains of being a US resident. Rate: This is an unpaid project but food will be provided on filming days. Credits/materials will also be given to cast to use on resumes or in reels. Additional info: Experienced and non-experienced actors are welcome to audition! Filming will take place in May and into June, with a final screening happening on July 12. When applying, please include some of your acting experience and headshots.
