Actors for "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" Show
Cast needed for "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: Show Synopsis: An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. Additional info: NOTE: This production contains mature content. In-Person Auditions: Prepare 1–2 musical theatre songs in the style of the show (please, no pop/rock songs). Auditions will include cold readings from the script. Dance Call (Callbacks Only): There will be a dance portion, so please come dressed in comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for movement. Callbacks: TBD- May 2025 *by invitation only* Show dates: July 11th-27th, 2025 If you are interested, please apply.
