Urgent! "Three Sisters" Stage Play Casting Actors
Actors needed for production of "Three Sisters". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: "Olga, Masha, and Irina are the Three Sisters of the Prozorova home. They host gatherings and guests at their estate over years and seasons. But deep beneath their lore, a tectonic shift threatens the surface over which they float. Their older brother, Andrei, brings in someone more permanent: his blushing bride. The Prozorova home feels it. Do you?" This production of Three Sisters will take Chekhov’s beautiful exploration of complicated family dynamics, love, and socio-economics, and filter it through the lens of the Black experience in America. Rate: This is an unpaid non-union project. Additional info: Applicants will perform sides from Three Sisters at callbacks, as necessary.Callbacks (on Zoom) will be arranged by appointment. (Female-identifying ): She is the eldest of The Three Sisters, responsible, and maternal. A schoolteacher who longs for Moscow but gradually accepts her provincial life.
(Female-identifying): She is the middle of The Three Sisters, passionate, and deeply unhappy in her marriage.
(20, Female-identifying): She is the youngest of The Three Sisters, idealistic but increasingly disillusioned.
(Male-identifying ): He is the brother of The Three Sisters, and a cautionary tale of what happens to the one whom you’ve placed on the pedestal.
(Mid-20s, Female-identifying ): She is Andrei’s wife, initially shy, and NOT one of The Three Sisters. She is also Bobik’s mother. She’ll want you to know that.
(Male-identifying ): He is a kind and philosophical officer in love with Irina.
(Non-Binary or Male-identifying): He is seen as strange by the people around him, and is in love with Irina.
(Non-Binary or Male-identifying): He is a married lieutenant colonel, and a true waxing philosophist.
(Male-identifying): Masha’s eager, earnest husband; a devoted but unremarkable school teacher.
(Early 60s, Male-identifying): An army doctor and old family friend, increasingly losing faith in medicine and life.
(Late 60s, Female-identifying): She is an elderly family servant who has been in the siblings’ lives since their childhood.
(Early 70s, Male-identifying): He is an old man who works at the local council.
He is a young, cheerful officer who frequently brings small gifts and takes photographs of the sisters.
