About the project: “Anomie” by definition is the breakdown of social norms through society, this correlates with the film as Gianna, our protagonist, goes against something beyond her mental capacity. While still mourning her daughters (Maya) death she restarts her acting career, not being shown in this film due to more in depth films which are TBD, Gianna attempts to move on but is faced with the challenges of everything and everyone as subtle hints towards Maya’s death. Gianna begins to experience hazy feelings as she attempts to ignore the overwhelming comments and insults toward her, leading to the result of her wrath. This film explores characteristics of pain, guilt, and contempt, these characteristics foreshadow the demise of our protagonist while moving onto the next chapter.
