Casting Call for Upcoming Mini-Series
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking cast for a fun, low-budget comedic mini-series. More details are below. Rate: Non-Union. Small honorarium (TBD) and meals provided. Additional information: This project is being filmed in a single-day shoot and will be shared on social media. Looking for local talent to bring the quirky characters to life! No formal acting experience required, but comedic timing is a MUST. Date: TBD (1 full day in May). Location: Calgary, AB. Commitment: 1-day shoot, plus brief prep/rehearsal. Lead Role. Female-presenting. Personality: Dry, sarcastic, and effortlessly unbothered. Operates with minimal effort but maximum confidence. Breaks all the rules but somehow keeps her job. Secretly great at handling chaos when it really matters. Strong comedic timing with a deadpan delivery. Improv skills a plus!
Lead Role. Male-presenting. Personality: Overly enthusiastic and hopelessly dedicated to making the staff a "family". The energy of Michael Scott + Ted Lasso, but far less competent. Thinks every crisis has an easy fix (spoiler: it doesn’t). Truly believes the restaurant is the best place on earth. High energy, expressive, and able to deliver cringey-yet-endearing moments Improv skills and physical comedy a plus!
Supporting Role. Male-presenting. Personality: The most Canadian man alive; always in a hockey jersey. Comes here because it’s Canadian-owned. Knows everything about breakfast and Canadian history. Might actually live at the restaurant. Naturally comedic with a strong sense of character. Ability to improvise eccentric Canadian-themed lines a plus.
