About the project: Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of a full orchestra, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR follows the final week of Jesus Christ’s life, delving into the complexities of his relationships with his disciples, followers, and the Roman Empire. The concert version will bring to life the rock opera's unforgettable score, featuring powerful numbers like "I Don't Know How to Love Him," "Gethsemane," and "Superstar". JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is the first musical that Andrew Lloyd Webber and Time Rice produced for a professional stage, over 50 years ago. It is a timeless classic, that continues to touch new generations of audiences and performers, over and over again. Additional info: Due to the historical nature of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, all roles are either male or female presenting. Come prepared with 16 bars of an appropriate song and sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Directors are pleased to make a virtual audition option available. However, preference will be extended to those that attend the in person audition. While directors understand that not everyone can attend, In-person auditions will almost always be considered for casting over virtual submissions. Callbacks: TBD. Rehearsals: May 12 - June 13, 2025 In general, rehearsals will be held Sunday 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm and Monday through Thursday 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm. All actors are not called for all rehearsals. Actual schedule will be determined once the show is cast. Performance: June 14, 2025 at The Palladium, 7:00 PM In the event that sales indicate it's appropriate, they reserve the right to add a performance on June 15th at 2:00 PM.
