Georges’ mother. A cranky and rather demanding fixture in the park. She is able to find solace in nostalgia, and inspires Georges to find order in his art. Act 2 doubling as Blair Daniels, an art critic who once championed George’s work, but now wants him to create something new. Gender: Female-presenting; Vocal range: F#3 – Eb5

A rival artist. Callous, critical, and ultimately shallow. He and Frieda engage in extramarital affairs. Act 2: Bob Greenberg is the museum director obsessed with keeping up with everything new. Gender: Male-presenting; Vocal range: G2 – F4

Jules’ pampered wife. She is as snippy and snooty as her husband. In Act 2, Naomi is the composer of George’s Chromolume presentations. Gender: Female-presenting; Vocal range: E3 – Eb5

The Old Lady’s attendant. She is calming and assertive. Act 2 doubling: Harriet Pawling, a wealthy patron of the arts. Gender: Female-presenting; Vocal range: G3 – F4

A French military man, polite and gentlemanly. Close with his companion, though he yearns for a separation. Act 2 doubling: Alex, an artist quite jealous of George’s success. Gender: Male-presenting; Vocal range: A2 – F4
