About the project: After her sister Linda continues insisting, Barbara agrees to go for dinner with their estranged father. As tensions rise, Barbara seems to be closer and closer to bursting, but not everything is as it seems. Rate: This is a paid opportunity (the team is still working on rates and this will be informed directly to the selected actors). Non-Union actors. Additional information: Genre: Dramedy/Sci-fi. White/European/Latin American (to look similar to actor playing Barbara) Linda is Barbara’s older sister. She is bubbly and a definite optimist. She believes in the possibility of having a relationship with their father despite everything, partly because she emotionally would like to, and partly because she is pragmatic about the financial support their father can give her and her family. She has one goal throughout the dinner.
White/European/Latin American (to look similar to actors playing Linda and Barbara) Linda and Barbara’s father has been a negligent parent their entire lives. Scattered through their memories, he’s only been there when convenient. In his old-fashioned views of the world, he’s already done everything he needs to and now has a new family. He is a top business executive, with his whole life revolving around his work. He is cold and stern throughout the night.
While the waiter has few lines, their performance is key to showing that something is wrong and doesn’t appear as it seems. They are quirky and interesting. Seeking for actors with good comedic timing.
