About the project: Genre: Dystopian Sci-Fi Logline: In a Handmaid’s Tale-esque world run by corporations, Hannah and Rachel live in isolation birthing the next generation of Walden Corp workers. Committed to a by-the-book worldview and unprepared to face the reality of the dystopia she's living in, Hannah is thrown headlong into the truth when she learns that today is Rachel’s last day. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: An in-person or virtual rehearsal will be required, will work around actor's schedule. Minimal Stunts (getting picked up by others, twirling/almost falling into a person). Stunt Coordinator will be present. Production Type: Student Film (Senior Thesis) Run Time: Short Union Status: non-union Shoot Dates: April 4-6, April 11-13 Pickups April 18-20 When applying, please include your headshot, resume, & links to reel. Femme-presenting, all body types, all attractiveness levels. “Real” & “Natural” looking people preferred. She's playful, open, sensitive, vulnerable, grounded in reality but head in clouds. Rachel is creative & curious. She wonders what's beyond the sheltered world she lives in, but, until the events of the film, has largely accepted her lot. She's used to Hannah's condescension & dismissiveness but still makes efforts to connect. Looking for a very realistic, natural, grounded performance.
