Acting Audition for "Rooted" Film

Lead A failing actor with big dreams. He's kind but lacks self-esteem and is usually walked over by his housemates, although it's not intentional, Greg just has no boundaries. He has delusional hope about his acting career, which is going nowhere, but no one can shake his starry-eyed belief that one day he'll make it big.

Lead A freelance videographer with a storied past but is a good person (as long as you stay on the right side of her). Has a habit of 'picking up strays' in life and trying to fix them. She's pretty successful at her job, it's life she can't quite get a handle on. She will be the long running romantic interest for Greg.

Supporting A true 'thespian' who thinks he's the reincarnation of Lawrence Olivier, but he's more of a Bela Lugosi with his oddball, Dracula-esque mannerisms. He is only slightly more successful than Greg, being that he is at least represented by an agent, and likes to lord this over Greg - who he sees as his nemesis.

Supporting Musician who writes the score for amateur movies and trash TV, his aunt owns the house so he's the unofficial head tenant. Only slightly more sane than everyone else. Always fighting with Fez, even though they're best friends.

Supporting Works as a special effects supervisor and pyrotechnician for the movie industry. He's a legit lunatic who's always trying to set something on fire. Oddly, he's the most successful of those living in the house but can't get nicer digs due to the fact he's a one-man wrecking crew.

Supporting A couch-surfer who lurks around the house, no one really knows why he's there or who even invited him, but Paul doesn't cause much trouble so they leave him alone. Usually drunk and passed out somewhere. There's a rumour he's the son of someone important in Hollywood but this is as yet unsubstantiated.
