Seeking Performers for "Bring Me No Flower" Play
Directors are currently in need of performers for production of "Bring Me No Flower". More detals are below. About the play: George Kimball is a Westchester commuter whose favourite hobby is hypochondria. When he mistakenly overhears his doctor discussing another patient with heart trouble, he prepares to meet his end bravely. George begins to put his affairs in order and even arranges a good second husband for his soon-to-be widow, along with a cemetery plot for three: himself, his wife, and the new future Mr. Kimball. Additional information: Performance Dates: June 25 to July 13, 2025. Audition Location: Langham. Auditioners are required to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and be prepared to stay until the end). Callbacks by invitation only – Sunday, April 27, 1 to 4 p.m. Rehearsals start May 4, and will run Tuesday and Thursdays (7 to 10 p.m.) and Sundays (1 to 4 p.m.). Attractive, fit, healthy, often very serious and a confirmed hypochondriac (appears in several “fantasy” segments).
Rather conceited, has money and doesn’t mind letting people know. Always had a thing for Judy (appears in one “fantasy” segment).
George’s doctor, aware of George’s hypochondria and humours him. Avid fisherman (appears in one “fantasy” segment).
Dry-cleaning delivery man, friendly with Judy (appears in one “fantasy” segment dancing with Judy).
Exuberant cemetery plot salesman (may appear in one or more “fantasy” segments).
For two “fantasy” sequences only. Plays two flirtatious young women to George.
Possible extras required for the “fantasy” sequences. The plan is to film the “fantasy” sequences and they would be run as projections for the performances.
