Singing Audition for Musical "People Suck"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking strong singers with excellent comedic timing for musical called "People Suck". More details are below. Rate: Profit-share (not to brag and no promises, but directors sold the most tickets of any show in the 2015 festival). Additional information: Performances: July 2-13. Rehearsals: June 4 to July 1, Tues-Fri, 10am-2pm. Week of July 2 - TBD (depending on tech, preview, and dress). Location TBD, Downtown Toronto. Self-tape Deadline: Monday March 31, 11:59am EDT. Callbacks over Zoom beginning of April. The show has a cast of five and runs 90 minutes. Please note 2 of the roles are already cast. When applying, please submit the following: Please include the following in a self-tape link (unlisted YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Angelfire, carrier pigeon work fine!): Favorite verse and chorus of a comedy song (with or without accompaniment) Tell them about the "suckiest" person you’ve ever met (1-2 mins). NOTES: Directors want raw, straight-up, YOU. Imagine we’re just in a room together! Think of the above as prompts/suggestions. While this is a scripted show, the roles are personality-led, so they want to get a sense of who you are. Directors will most enjoy watching the tape you most enjoy making.

Vocal range: G2 - C4. You’re dry, comic, and easily annoyed by those who don't understand grammar.
Vocal range: G3 - D5. You’re poised and confident, and you know exactly what you deserve and are not afraid to ask for it. And by that we mean sexually. Obviously.
Vocal range: G3 - E5. You’re warm and down to earth, but with the rage of a thousand suns simmering just beneath the surface.
