"Jesus Christ Superstar" Musical in Search of Cast
Theater is proud to announce auditions for its upcoming production of "Jesus Christ Superstar". In need of actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. Rate: All roles receive stipend pay and tip share. A limited number of AEA contracts will be considered for principal roles. Additional info: The creative team of Theater’s Jesus Christ Superstar is committed to non-traditional, gender and race conscious casting with the goal of staging a retelling of this timeless story in the context of our contemporary world. Gender-nonconforming individuals and Actor/musicians highly encouraged to apply. Callbacks are scheduled to occur April 7 after 6 PM (subject to change based on the availability of those called back). Rehearsals begin April 13 and typically occur Sunday-Wednesday evenings from 7:30-11:30 PM. Performances May 23-June 15. When applying, please include 32 bars of a musical theater selection in the style of the show, a headshot or recent photo as well as a resume.

Rock Tenor. Leader of the twelve Apostles, called the "Son of God" and the "King of the Jews".
Rock Tenor. One of the twelve apostles of Jesus; concerned for the poor and the consequences of Jesus' fame.
Exotic/Beautiful Belter. A follower of Jesus who may be falling in love with him. The role requires a performer that can show grace, stability, weakness and compassion.
Rock Baritone. Governor of Judea who foresees the events of Jesus' crucifixion from beginning to aftermath in a dream and finds himself being presented with that very situation.
High Baritone. The King of Galilee; who Jesus is brought to for judgment after first being taken to Pilate.
Tenor. One of Jesus' twelve apostles; denies Jesus three times upon the night of Jesus' arrest to avoid implication.
High Baritone. One of Jesus' twelve apostles; urges Jesus to lead their followers into battle against the Romans.
Low Bass with Rocky Top. High priest who sees Jesus as a threat to the nation.
High Baritone. Fellow priest at the side of Caiaphas who is persuaded by Caiaphas into seeing Jesus as a threat.
