About the project: Based on the beloved 1980 film, 9 to 5: The Musical is a high-energy comedy with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. The story follows three office workers who take control of their workplace and turn the tables on their oppressive boss. Please apply if interested.

(Alto, F3–D5) A smart, efficient, and ambitious office manager who keeps everything running while her boss takes all the credit. A widowed mother of a teenage son, she’s determined to break through the corporate boys’ club. Witty and strong but not hardened.
(Mezzo-Soprano, Ab3–F5) A meek housewife starting her first job after her husband leaves her for his secretary. Initially insecure, Judy grows into her own power and transforms into a confident force to be reckoned with.
(Soprano with high belt, G3–E5) A sexy, Southern firecracker with a kind heart and a no-nonsense attitude. Frequently underestimated due to her looks, she proves there’s far more to her than meets the eye. Requires strong country-style vocals and sharp comedic timing.
(Alto, G3–C5) The office busybody, fiercely loyal to Mr. Hart and willing to spy on anyone to win his approval. Over-the-top comedic role with a big solo number.
(Baritone, C3–Gb4) The self-absorbed, sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss. A sleazy and smarmy executive who believes he’s irresistible—he isn’t.

(Male-presenting, Non-singing) The company’s big boss. Wiser to Hart’s behavior than he initially lets on.
