Seeking Talent for Paid Summer Virtual Theater Production

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. The company is preparing for 2025 Summer Virtual Main Stage, a fully online take on Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.” Looking for talent. Please, see the details below. Rate: There will be a small stipend of $50 available for all who are cast. Additional information: The entire rehearsal and performance process will all be fully virtual and take full advantage of the medium. Performances will take place via livestream only (so you can participate from anywhere in the world, in theory!) over two weekends: May 30-June 2 and June 6-June 8. REHEARSALS WILL START THE WEEK OF APRIL 13TH. THE SCHEDULE WILL BE FORMED WITH ACTOR SCHEDULES KEPT IN MIND AS BEST THEY CAN. THE PERFORMANCES WILL TAKE PLACE THE WEEKENDS OF MAY 30-JUNE 8, 2025. ANY CALLBACKS WILL TAKE PLACE ON APRIL 6TH. When applying, please submit the following details: AUDITION TAPE: The audition tape for “The Importance of Being Earnest” should consist of a video (any format ok— MP4s and YouTube links are easiest though!) of you performing a monologue or poem from Oscar Wilde or a contemporary (similar time period). HEAD SHOT AND RESUME: Please email a resume of your theater experience (helpful but not required to specify if anything is virtual!) and a head shot (does not have to be professional as long as it clearly shows your face and who you are) as part of your audition. AUDITION MATERIALS ARE DUE TO BE EMAILED TO THEM BY NO LATER THAN 11:59PM EST (OR 8:59PM PST) ON APRIL 2ND, 2025. The subject LINE: “YOUR NAME, EARNEST AUDITION".
