ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking cast to play roles in production of "Ghost Town". More details are below. About the project: A Lonely Ghost fall in love with a human woman. While watching her, they meet another ghost Carla, who is also searching for connection. The two ghosts build a bond but the Lonely Ghost’s obsession with the Woman causes strife in their relationship and eventually Carla vanishes without a trace, leaving the Lonely Ghost alone once more. The Lonely Ghost has been dead for a long time, so long that they don’t know themselves how long it has been. With the freedom to go where ever, they decide to watch humans. Searching for true connection, their self-imposed isolation from others has left The Lonely Ghost unsociable, in their own world and hasn’t spoken to anyone for years. So stuck in their habits, when a new opportunity arises to create a connection, they are too scared and stubborn to change their ways.
Carla is a ghost who spends her time watching humans. She is awkward and shy but pushes through her anxieties in pursuit of connection with another soul. She feels that she wasted her time on earth and never truly felt close to another individual. She recently died of an overdose, living a rowdy life surrounded by a rough crowd. She sees the Lonely Ghost as someone who she can have a real relationship with..
Grieving the loss of her father, the Lonely Woman now has to move out of her childhood house by herself. Her family life as a child was troubled and this recent change has unraveled a wealth of these unwanted memories. There are moments in which she feels a strange cold presence nearby, but is unable to identify it. That presence is The Lonely Ghost.
The brother of the Lonely Woman. Having only recently gotten into town to help his sister deal with their fathers will. This man is facing the same grief as the woman but is avoidant to his responsibilities.
A group of drunk friends walking home on a late night of drinks. Without a designated driver they wander their ways home through their residential neighborhood. Talking and joking amongst themselves, trying to stay quiet as to not wake the surrounding houses
Directors will be filming multiple scenes in a park featuring a diverse cast. Looking for any age/race/gender with many people enjoying an evening in the park. Casting for a specific moment focusing on an old couple in the park having a picnic.
