Casting Performers for Upcoming Production
ONLY LOCAL TALLENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Production of "Does The Necromancer Have To Report His Minions To The CRA?" is looking for talent. Please, see the details below. About the project: Three undead workers are given a second chance in this fast paced satire about work after life. It’s Monty Python meets the Walking Dead in this theatrical debut. Rate: This is a profit-share production. Non-union actors are encouraged to apply. Additional information: All six roles are open for casting. The production is performing during the Ottawa Fringe Festival. Actors MUST be comfortable travelling and staying in Ottawa for the duration of the Fringe. Will be doing self-tapes for the first round of auditions followed by an in-person Callback. The Callback will include a physical comedy improvisation. Date: Self-tapes can be received until March 30th. Callbacks will be in the first week of April. Rehearsals – will be rehearsing a couple of times a week through April, May, and then rehearsing often during the two weeks leading up to the festival in June. Festival Run: June 12th - 22nd. Please keep in mind thatdirectors ideally will be double casting the zombie track with the human track. Every 2nd show you would be playing the counterpart. Think Benedict Cumberbatch & Jonny Lee Miller’s Frankenstein Production~ ~ This is a very Physical show - think slapstick, Three Stooges, physical comedy with great heartfelt moments. Slate must include your name, where you live, if you're comfortable with in person rehearsals in Toronto and being in Ottawa for the show dates, and if you are comfortable with physical comedy.
