Auditions for Musical "The Wizard of Oz"
Looking to cast male and female talent for the “The Wizard of Oz” show. See the details listed below. Additional info: Please come prepared with short cut of ANY song of your choice, you can bring sheet music, a karaoke track (a Bluetooth speaker will be provided), or sing it a cappella! Anything that you feel best shows off your range and skills. Auditioners will be asked to read sides from the script. The roles of Miss Almira Gulch / The Wicked Witch of the West & Professor Chester Marvel/ The Wizard of Oz are non-singing roles. if you are auditioning for one of these parts, you do not have to come to auditions with a song, you will only be asked to read from the script. Performance dates are June 6-8, 13-15 & 20-22. If you are interested, please apply.

(Mezzo/Mix) Young Kansas girl, earnest, expressive, and strong-willed, in search of something more.
(Baritone) Plucky and clever in a pinch, even while lacking a brain. Strong actor with an honest quality. Acrobatic skills a bonus but not required.
(Baritone/Tenor) Desperate for a heart. A kind-hearted romantic. must be able to wear heavy armored suit.
(Baritone) A mix of bravado and cowardice. Cuddly actor with excellent comic timing.
Character villain with an over-the-top stage presence. Excellent comic actress that has a killer cackle. Non-Singing.
Male older father figure with an eccentric flair. Basic conjuring or sleight of hand a bonus. Non-Singing.
(Soprano) Glinda is the Good Witch of the North. Benevolent and beloved.
Aunt Em is demanding but loves her niece.
Dorothy’s pleasant uncle.
(Baritone) Strong comic actor, big presence.
The people of Munchkinland. Long oppressed, and happy to be freed, the Munchkins will (mostly) be played by children. Group singing and coordinated movement required. Dance experience a plus. There are some featured roles among the munchkins, such as The Coroner, The Lollipop Guild, and The Lullaby League.
