Singing Audition for "Newsies" Play

Performers are invited to audition for "Newsies" musical. Please see the details below. About the project: In New York City at the turn of the century, Jack Kelly is the charismatic leader of a band of teenage "newsies." When the titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right. Additional info: Prepare a 30-to 60-second cutting from any Broadway or Disney song. Bring your accompaniment on a device. You may not sing acapella. While all Youth and Young Adult performers will dance in the show, there will not be a dance audition. Rehearsals: Generally 3-4 nights per week from 7-9:30 pm Mondays through Thursdays, with occasional Saturday morning and Sunday night dance rehearsals and promotional events. Shows: 4 public performances June 13-15, 2025 at the Pablo Center at the Confluence. If interested, please apply.
