Singers, Dancers and Actors Needed for "Mona’s Magic Hour" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are seeking Singers, Dancers and Actors for production of "Mona’s Magic Hour". More details are below. About the project: Mona’s Magic Hour is a live musical revue, taking audiences on a fantastic voyage celebrating the connection between Black music, nature, and the most glamorous, unusual, and iconic friends: birds. Through playful performances, skits, music and dance, this work brings to life a diverse cast of birds portrayed by fabulously feathered performers, captivating viewers of all ages and drawing them into the songs and expressions of birds. Rate: Non-Union (union members can apply). Paid - Fees based on minimum rates for Theatre for Young Audiences. Additional information: Rehearsals: TBD - as early as mid-June to July 9. Fitting Date(s): TBD. Performance Dates: July 10 & 12, 2025 | pending rain dates: July 11 & 13. Looking for singers, dancers, and actors. On performance days, singers will be expected to sing live and remember choreography. All cast members will be required for 2-4 days minimum rehearsals plus a dress rehearsal before the first performance and will also need to attend wardrobe fittings. ALL PERFORMERS: Please SLATE in a wide shot: your name, height, any relevant acting, singing, or dance background, and specify the style(s) of dance you are well-versed in. Submit a link to your audition video, along with your resume and head shot. Also, include any additional performance links, such as an acting demo reel, singing samples, or dance footage (reel, class footage, or a 1-minute freestyle link is acceptable). She's a lively, down-to-earth diva whose dynamic presence, humor, and candid approach make her a beloved figure. She has a deep love for the audience–so long as they behave! Ability to sing and retain choreography is a plus, but not mandatory.

Together they are the symbol of sisterhood, freedom, and 70’s glamour. While performing, their harmonic range and simple choreography is displayed in full effect.

He shows us that you don’t need to be the hippest, handsomest, or most popular bird in the forest to be happy. Through good-natured fun, this bird brings sunshine on a cloudy day and inspires the kid in all of us. Looking for youthful charm and joy, effortless energy and conviction.
