About the project: Lukso ng Dugo is a senior thesis short film and horror narrative inspired by family stories and personal experiences of the film's director with abusive relationships. Drawing inspiration from the tales of aswangs, supernatural beings in Filipino folklore, the story utilizes the culturally relevant and universally familiar horror element of monsters to make commentary on intergenerational cycles of abuse. Rate: Copy, credit, meal. Additional info: TW/NOTE: Material depicts domestic violence/abuse. Location: Professional-grade home studio in San Jose.
