About the project: Production Description: Two incarcerated friends make a pact to get out and stay out, deciding to meet one week later at a local diner. Two films. Two outcomes. JAY leaves prison to a host of obstacles: No money, no transportation, and no place to stay. His support system has cut him out and he must find a way to survive while cutting ties with old gang associates. In the end he finds success. HERO leaves prison to a great support system, housing, transportation, and some money in the bank. However, when he is faced with situation after situation that he can’t control, he makes a series of faulty choices that leads him back in prison. (LEAD) A natural fighter. His short temper and need to prove himself gets him into trouble. However he wants to start fresh and stay out of prison despite old acquaintances tempting him back in. Jay decides to take a step forward and take life 'one bite at a time'.

He tries very hard to uphold the conditions of his parole, however his dedications to trying to build a better life for his girlfriend and baby prove difficult with the restrictions of his parole. He has a newfound desire for stability for his family.
Jay's half sister who holds firm boundaries. She’s a strong mother determined to shield her daughter Krystal from the mistakes of her family as much as she can.
A young mother who faces adult responsibilities in raising a child mostly on her own. She has a tendency to disregard the conditions of Hero's parol in order to build a life.
A loving, caring figure that holds affection and forgiveness for Jay.
Pink hair with an attitude yet has a heart.
A known associate of Hero, which jeopardizes Hero’s parole conditions and Hero’s living situation. Gorge operates within his self interest and is ensnared by his surroundings. He asks unfair tasks of Hero. Which puts Hero in danger.
A straightforward fast food chain manager who is cautious with her interview with Jay but shows kindness in her rejection towards him.
A petty criminal on the same level as G who try to pull Jay back into unwanted habits.
