About the project: : Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was first performed on Broadway in 2005. While the story is similar, the stage version does add more scenes and music. The story is set In England, around 1910. Eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car. With his children, Jeremy and Jemima, they soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to fly! Trouble occurs when evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and his villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.
