(Lead). A complex, emotionally raw character. Sarah is battling drug addiction and an abusive relationship with Jesse. Sarcastic, sharp-witted, but deeply wounded. Throughout the film, she fights for recovery, stands up against her abuser, and works to heal her family ties. Seeking an actress with strong dramatic range and vulnerability. Archetype: The Hero Requirements: Strong emotional depth, ability to portray addiction and recovery authentically.
(Supporting). Sarah’s mother, who struggles with the pain of her daughter’s addiction and disappearance. Initially resentful and distrustful, but learns to forgive and reconnect. A nuanced role requiring both strength and tenderness. Archetype: The Caregiver Requirements: Strong emotional presence, ability to portray a range of emotions from frustration to love and reconciliation.
(Antagonist). Sarah’s abusive ex-boyfriend. Charismatic but controlling, manipulative, and violent. He gaslights Sarah and fuels her addiction, but ultimately loses his grip when she stands against him. Seeking an actor who can embody both charm and menace. Archetype: The Shadow Requirements: Must be comfortable portraying intense, emotionally charged scenes, including manipulation and psychological abuse.
