About the project: Show Synopsis: In its typical creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky fashion, the ghoulish Addams family is visiting the graveyard for an annual gathering of all family members, living, dead, and undecided, to celebrate what it is to be an Addams. However, the family encounters an unforeseen obstacle when Wednesday decides to introduce her new “normal” boyfriend Lucas to the family. In protest, Uncle Fester enlists the help of the Addams’ ancestors to call an end to the young budding romance. As Wednesday admits that she is falling in love, Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley worry about her changing ways. As the families of Wednesday and Lucas come together for dinner one fateful evening, chaos ensues and the two families find themselves admitting deep secrets and coming together in ways they never would have imagined. The Addams Family Broadway Musical tells the story of love and friendship through adversity, with a comical and macabre yet poignant spin. Additional info: 6:30pm sign in. Auditions will start at 7pm. Audition expectations: In-person auditions will be closed with the director/choreographer, musical director, and stage manager. Auditionees will complete a group dance audition after individual vocal auditions. Sides will be provided for your vocal audition and cold read to follow. Please see the document attached. Dance audition: A short dance will be taught to all auditionees. Please wear dance-appropriate attire. Jazz or character shoes are encouraged. Flip-flops or slides can be quite hazardous while dancing and are not advised. Clothing should be comfortable and allow for movement. Performance dates: Tech Week/Dress Rehearsal: June 7-12, 2025 Show runs June 13- 29 2025 Friday and Saturdays June 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 at 7:30 p.m. & Sundays June 15, 22, and 29 at 2:00 p.m. *Please have a list of all conflicts for the rehearsal period ready upon arrival at auditions and check performance dates and rehearsal schedule carefully before auditioning. A full rehearsal schedule will be posted at auditions. Having rehearsal conflicts will not impact casting, however performance conflicts will not be allowed. Set build/workdays are weekends- TBD.
