About the project: Set In a desolate desert town, Allen Owen runs a solitary gas station known for its lotto scratchers. His quiet existence is turned upside down when a case of mistaken identity thrusts him into a volatile love triangle, one that will test his resolve, survival, and ultimately his fate. Allen's boss, the suave and secretive Gilbert, is having a passionate affair with Anouk, a regular customer. Unbeknownst to Gilbert, Anouk’s jealous husband, Bill, begins to suspect the affair and repeatedly calls the station looking for answers. Tensions rise when Bill, enraged and intoxicated, storms into the gas station, seeking to confront Gilbert and seek his own brand of violent justice. In the chaos that unfolds, Allen is caught in the crossfire. A deadly confrontation ensues, and in a tragic sequence of events, both Gilbert and Bill lose their lives, leaving Allen to grapple with the consequences. To make matters worse, Anouks final act is to rob Allen of a winning lotto ticket, leaving him with nothing but the bitter taste of irony. Rate: Non-Union. Unpaid. Allen is a lazy, introverted, unambitious 29 year old, who makes his way from one menial job to the next. He spends his time at his job at a local run-down station, scratching cards. He isn't the kind of guy who chases the thrill. However, this time it seems to find him.After getting into a fight with debtor's, Owens drifts through the seedy lower-class streets, with only one goal in mind; stay out of trouble and keep his cards close to him, both external and internal.
Anouk is a young, cheeky, ambitious 27 year old. She got married very young, to the man she thought would be the love of her life. However, she learns the hard way, that is not the case. She uses her boldness to mask her vulnerability and regret to getting married at such a tender age. She chooses to start an affair with the local gas station's boss, in the hopes that he will give her his full devotion and desires to leave her husband and the memories of him in the past.
A high school dropout, turned gas station owner, Gilbert Sinclair is a charismatic and manipulative guy who talks a big game, as well as his way out of trouble. A serial cheater as well as a thrill seeker,he is deceptive and uses his gas station, mainly as a front for his shady side hustles. He lives life on the edge and craves danger, but this time, people are coming to collect. He finds that his luck may have run out as he may not be able to talk his way out of it.
A controlling man who always thought he had everything in check, until he finds out that his wife has been cheating on him. Oblivious to the cracks in his marriage, he feels blindsided by the betrayal. He has no interest in talking things out, only getting revenge. Having been used to being in control, he doesn't like to feel played and is now out for blood.
