"The Importance Of Being Earnest" play seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: The fast, and very funny beloved play about love, society, the best names, and whether cake is fashionable nowadays… {The production will be performed with RP British accents.} Rate: unpaid. Additional info: All roles are non-equity. PREPARATION Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Sides will be provided via email prior to audition dates. Directors are eager to see any actor interested. No experience in non-musical plays? They’d love to see you. REHEARSALS: Based on availability of the final cast, a read-thru and table work will commence in early May; rehearsals will then be held 2 - 3 weeknights and 1 weekend afternoon until closer to performance dates. Direction and stage management are committed to respecting everyone’s time, so a final schedule will be made—again, based on actors’ availability— to make the best use of actors’ time and to minimize downtime.
