James is 19 years old and has struggled with an alcohol addiction for most of her teen vears. After being sober for nearly a year and a half, she relapses after the anniversary of Riley's attempt. James is quiet and lives in her head; a glass half empty kind of girl. She used to be sweet but now is an empty shell of the person she was.
Riley is 18 years old, he's honest and respectful. He's a attentive young man who cares very deeply for the people around him, often to much. He often struggles with putting himself first. This, and his inability to process and ligitify his emotions, is what led him to his sucide attempt a year prior. He speaks with conviction and meaning: purposeful. He's calm and always stays positive. The kind of friend you know will always be in your corner no matter what.
