Pastel rocker. Bria is the daughter of the family for the ‘YuleMas’ event. She does not feel that she fully fits into the family, though it is not true. You will find her sitting on the outside, trying to make herself smaller. Bria has a big heart and loves big, but is ultimately insecure and does not want to be too vulnerable. She badly wants to be included, but does not know how.

Gen Z East Van vibes. Bria’s girlfriend of just over a year. Coming to meet Bria’s family for the first time. Jamie is confident, knows who she is. Does not suffer fools. When introduced to the family, Jamie immediately feels comfortable with Bria’s family. Her own family is unstable and unsafe, especially about her lifestyle. When Bria’s family is so welcoming, she can’t possibly understand why Bria feels so uncomfortable. She fits in immediately.

Bria's mother. Witch by practice. Spiritual, welcoming, and vibrant. LaVerna is a force of nature. She knows who she is and she will not apologize. She is warm and intense. She fully believes the healing nature of being a Witch. She considers herself a spiritual healer. By day she is a marriage therapist. By night she is a raki healer. When she meets Jamie, she can’t wait to bring her into the coven.

Bria's father. Pastor by practice. Christian pastor, married to a witch. And he couldn’t be more in love with her. Nothing gets between him and his woman. Darren would never pass judgment on anyone. To him, everyone is worthy is love and respect. He is loud and charismatic. He means well, but his impulsivity and big mouth gets him into trouble. He’s not saying anything wrong, but why can’t he just keep it to himself.

Bria's sister. Madeleine is the young Witch in training. She takes after her mother in almost every way. She embodies everything natural. She’s also the research gal. She knows everything about every pagan holiday and every ritual.

Additional Character. Family friend. There is no easy way to describe Darrell because he is so many thing. He’s a nomad. He’s studied to be a monk. Professional napper. KD chef. Can play any instrument you hand him. Darrell doesn’t want to be tied to anyone or earthly possession. He lives on and off with Bria’s parents. They always have a bed set up for him when he’s tired of sleeping in his car.
