Casting actors for "The Lick" Short Film, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: This is a comedy about a group of criminals who attempt a heist, only to fall into a police sting operation and get hilariously interrogated. Rate: Actors will receive credit, a copy of the final film, and a meal on set. Additional info: Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Local talent only – No travel or accommodations provided) Shoot Dates: Weekend of March 28th, 2025 Table Reads: Weekend of March 21st, 2025 (Exact dates TBD) Auditions will be held via self-tape. Selected actors may be asked to do a virtual callback. Looking for actors who can bring big personalities and great comedic energy to their roles. Tough, street-smart, and "bout it bout it." Heavily tattooed, wears a sports bra and wife-beater. Experienced in crime, has served time, and doesn’t scare easy. Looking for an actor with strong comedic timing and attitude.
A smooth, slick criminal who always wears a big coat. Knows the system inside and out – refuses to acknowledge his name during interrogation. Cool, calculated, and never snitches. Actor should have a charismatic and composed presence.
A wannabe lawyer who thinks he’s a genius but speaks in nonsense legal jargon. Inspired by Oswald Bates from In Living Color. Uses big words that make no sense, frustrating everyone around him. Looking for an actor with strong comedic delivery and improv skills.
The nervous wreck of the group – this is his first crime, and he’s terrified. Easily manipulated and ends up snitching for a Whopper meal. Actor should have great facial expressions and play up nervous energy.
A big but not-so-bright guy who helps break into the truck. More muscle than brains – good-hearted but clueless. Looking for an actor with a strong comedic physical presence.
Playing the undercover cops who set up the sting and interrogate the crew. Actors should have a mix of stern and sarcastic comedic delivery.
