About the project: Synopsis: A group of college theater students rehearsing Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap find their production disrupted when strange messages and eerie occurrences start plaguing the cast and crew. When one of their own, Andrew, mysteriously disappears after a late-night rehearsal, stage manager Dylan is forced to confront the unsettling possibility that someone or something is targeting them. As tensions rise and the masked figure lurking in the shadows grows bolder, Dylan must unravel the truth before the final act turns deadly. Rate: Lunches will be catered and provided for everyone on set free of charge. Additional info: Shooting Dates: March 28th, March 29th and March 30th; Shooting Locations: various areas around the Marquette University campus. Looking for actors who are willing to participate in this film with no expected pay. There will be scenes involving characters with cars in a parking lot so if actors could provide personal vehicles, that would be helpful. This will not affect who is cast. (Supporting, Antagonist) Greg is the self-proclaimed genius director of the production, a senior theater student who treats The Mousetrap as his own personal project. He is arrogant, demanding, and ruthless with his cast, pushing everyone to their limits in pursuit of perfection. His authority is absolute—until unexplained occurrences begin to shake his grip on the production.
(Supporting) Jake is the rebellious and outspoken actor who isn’t afraid to challenge Greg’s authority. Charismatic and quick-witted, he’s the first to crack a joke when tension rises, but his protectiveness over his friends shows a deeper, more loyal side.When Andrew goes missing, Jake’s ego starts to crack, revealing the vulnerability behind his confidence. Although the identity of the mysterious figure will not be revealed, the actor for this role will be playing the figure during the shoot
(Supporting) Matthew is Jake’s boyfriend and another key cast member, level-headed and kind, often acting as the voice of reason. While he doesn’t believe in ghosts or curses, he can’t ignore the oddities stacking up around them. He’s the most hesitant to assume anything supernatural, grounding the story in logic before events spiral too far. His relationship with Jake adds emotional stakes to the horror.
(Key Role) Andrew is a quieter member of the cast, nervous and often on the receiving end of Greg’s harsh criticism. He struggles with self-confidence and stage anxiety, making him an easy target for Greg. He’s the first to go missing, setting off the film’s descent into terror.
(Supporting) Julia is another actress in the play, energetic, witty, and always up for late-night rehearsals or post-show hangouts. She has a strong friendship with Ella and often joins in on theater ghost stories, though she doesn’t take them too seriously.
