Professional Casting for "Boo!" Film

About the project: "Boo" is a fast-paced comedy short following two bumbling thieves on a misguided mission to steal a rare first-edition Charizard card. What should be a simple heist takes a turn for the ridiculous when they unknowingly break into a haunted house—except this ghost isn’t your typical vengeful spirit. Instead, she’s a hungover, clumsy mess recovering from a wild party the night before. As the thieves fumble through the house, they encounter eerie occurrences that are more inconvenient than terrifying—until they unknowingly awaken the supernatural forces of karma, from accidentally drinking a mysterious cup of "water" to a hilariously ill-timed spiritual awakening triggered by a glowing Jesus statue, their night spirals into chaos. When they finally come face to face with the ghost in an over-the-top slow-motion showdown, panic ensues, leading to an unforgettable (and painfully clumsy) final act. Packed with slapstick humor, absurd misunderstandings, and an unexpected dose of self-reflection, Boo blends horror tropes with comedy in a way that will leave audiences laughing—and maybe reconsidering their own late-night decisions. March 29 for re-shoots if needed. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) Surrey, BC. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 12, 2025. Prior acting experience is a plus but not required. The role of Thief 1 involves a staged fall as part of a comedic scene. To ensure actor safety, cushioning and padding will be provided on set. No prior stunt experience is required, but actors should be comfortable with physical comedy and light falls. Actors are encouraged to communicate any concerns or physical limitations before the shoot. When applying, please submit your head shot!
