"Love, Dad" film casting actors & extras. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the details below. About the project: Currently casting for a student-created film from a high school homeschool film class. Looking for lots of male actors and both male and female extras. Film Summary: In this action-packed yet meaningful short film, a family legacy is passed down to the next generation from Charlie Callahan to his son in a letter. Having witnessed his own father's bravery in protecting a mysterious family heirloom, Charlie now describes to his son their ancestors' efforts to keep the object in the family. He warns him of the Wardens of this World, who desperately try to take this family's prized possession, knowing its power will hurt their own selfish cause. Charlie recounts his great grandfather's agile yet close escape and his grandfather's shrewdness in choosing a location to hide the heirloom until Charlie's father is able to find it and pass it onto him. And now, as the Wardens have found the family once again, Charlie fulfills his role and passes the family legacy down to his son. From chases through the Wild West to sneaking through a 1920s downtown undercover, this film shows the undying bravery and dedication of the Callahan family. Additional info: Filming will take place sometime in March through mid-April. When applying, please include your video. See the attachments.

10 role s

RaymondMale20-30 y.o.All ethnicities

Time Period: 1923. Raymond appears on the streets of Grand Rapids in the 1920's protecting the precious treasure from the Wardens after it. He appears very sly and nonchalant. He is the most serious of all of the characters. Very quick-thinking, creative, and smart. He has no lines, however, his character is portrayed through the way he moves, "appears" to think, and cradles the precious box. He greatly understands how important it is to protect.

HenryMale35-40 y.o.All ethnicities

Time Period: 1965. Henry appears in the desert with his son trying to convey to him the importance of "the box". Henry is very protective of his son and earnest that his son understands its significance. He sacrifices himself to save his son and the box. Henry is very rugged, weathered, and muscular from his many years of physical exertion and mental strain protecting the box.

AlexanderMale20-25 y.o.All ethnicities

Time Period: Present Day. Alexander is the son of Charlie, to whom the letter is addressed to. He only appears at the end of the movie after receiving the note and the item. Although Alexander has only one line, "Love, Dad" it may be the most significant. His facial expressions must wordlessly convey what he is thinking and if he plans to take action. Alexander is brave, determined and ready to follow in his father's footsteps.

WilliamMale20-25 y.o.All ethnicities

Time period: Western (1885). The first member/generation in the family to protect the mysterious box. William loved a good chase and was athletic (he outruns 4-5 antagonists while enjoying it). He is persevering and tough. William has one line and a shout of pain when he gets shot in the arm. He conveys the fact that he enjoys a chase through his body language, facial expressions, and ease of movement around obstacles and quickly through a field.

Present-Day CharlieMale60-70 y.o.All ethnicities

Time Period: Modern day. He is the oldest living protector of the box, and is starting to tire out. He writes a letter to his son, showing the history the box has been through. Darwin does no on-screen speaking. But his presence and narration through recorded audio voiceover tells the whole story.
