Plus-Size Actress Needed for "Voices Bigger Than Our Body" Film

NATIONWIDE CANADA CASTING! Directors are currently in need of plus-size actress for "Voices Bigger Than Our Body" (Tentative) film. More details are below. Rate: Non-Union Unpaid. Additional information: Deadline to Submit: March 1, 2025. Auditions: Self-tapes by request. Shooting Location: Virtual (self-taped submissions will be used). IMPORTANT: If selected after submitting your head shots, you will receive further details about the self-tape requirements. The monologue does not need to be in English. Seeking plus-size women to submit a 1–2 minute monologue from their favorite film or TV show (preferably film). The monologue should not be from a plus-size character—this project is to highlight that plus-size actors can be leads in any story, not just relegated to the secondary "funny fat friend" roles. The thesis explores how size does not have to dictate who gets to be the main character. With that in mind, please choose a monologue where size is irrelevant— Let directors show that great performances transcend body type. When applying, please submit head shots, then directors will reach out to request self-tapes. Based on these submissions, selected actors may be invited to film an additional monologue of my choosing, which may be incorporated into a separate edit. If selected, you will submit a 1–2 minute monologue of your choosing. If your performance stands out, your video may be included in a final edit featuring all selected monologues. By submitting, you grant permission for your video to be used in directors project. If your acting is strong but the video quality is not ideal, directors may request a re-submission or, if you are local to Montreal, Quebec, offer an in-person re-shoot using professional equipment.
