About the project: A Slater’s Tale uses local historical figures and icons to examine what happens when a wealthy family finally runs out of money. It is a dark comic work of historical fiction told in a non-linear fashion and featuring colorful, detailed characters. It explores the effects of money on those who have it, those who want it, those who don’t have it and don’t want it, and their friends. The play is wordy and fun. Plenty of monologues to sink your teeth into! Rate: This is a non-profit, non-Equity, volunteer-based theater company. All positions within the company are unpaid. Additional info: WHAT TO KNOW/PREPARE - Please prepare a single monologue, 1-2 minutes in length. Dramatic or comedic monologues are fine; you may tailor your approach to the role you are interested in. - No reservations are needed. Arrive anytime within the audition window. - Provide a resume and headshot. Please include ALL conflicts from February through April on your audition form. Video submissions will be accepted.
