Performers Needed for "The Gallery Wall" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Searching for performers for production of "The Gallery Wall". More details are below. About the play: "The Gallery Wall" takes place within a local Winnipeg home on a rainy summer afternoon. TESS is scrambling to get her last painting done before her gallery show opens later that same evening, while MAGGIE struggles to adjust to life back at home, as well as dealing with the death of her father and former career. Rate: Actors will be paid via shares of ticket sales after the fringe has concluded. Additional information: Rehearsals will start mid-April and will be 2 times per week until they get closer to opening (July 16th-27). Submission deadline March 3rd, 2025. Please, see the attachment. Female identifying. A portrait painter by trade. Kind, but honest. A stranger to Maggie and new to Winnipeg. Tess always seems to be waiting for something. As she is attempting to prepare for her new gallery exhibit, she runs into a roadblock that jeopardizes the event, and her future as an artist.
Female Identifying. An ex-professional hockey player born and raised in Winnipeg. Charming, life of the party. Observational but has trouble seeing the big picture. Maggie is trying to settle back into life at home while dealing with the loss of her career and of a loved one, Maggie is unsure where to go from here and seeks help from an unlikely house-call.
