Casting actors for the upcoming "A Good Show" thesis film, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Logline: On opening night of the infamous play, Macbeth, an actress must break a deadly curse that has trapped the cast inside the show before they suffer their characters' same fate. Rate: Unpaid/Non-union. Directors will be providing a copy of the short film for actors to use for your acting reel, as well as an open invitation to the film's public screening at UT Austin in early May (date TBA). Meals will also be provided on set. Additional info: Dates: This film will be shot in Austin, TX from March 27th April 4. Throughout post-production of the film, edits and various versions will be workshopped and presented in front of a group of undergraduate student directors who will be actively producing, directing, and working on student films throughout the year of 2025. The undergraduate thesis screening is also one of the most popular and renowned student film screenings in the country. (Lady Macbeth) - (Lead) Nora is the main protagonist who portrays the character of Lady Macbeth. She's an ambitious and desperate actress who must break the curse before it's too late.
(Banquo) - (Lead) Sebastian is Nora's younger brother, who portrays Banquo in the play. When brought to the reality of their situation, he must fight to save his own life, as well as his sister's.
(Macbeth) - (Supporting) Lawrence plays the titular character of Macbeth, forced to be strung along by the effects of the curse.
(Supporting) Mysterious, faceless entities that control the performance, subjecting the actors to become their characters in the play.
(Supporting) The boy is an actor in the play Macbeth, and after being frozen in a trance-like state due to a curse, awakens to the nightmare before him right before being surrounded by the witches.
(Supporting) Macduff is completely entranced by the curse, and is performing his role without awareness. Macduff, while a major player in the play Macbeth, plays a smaller role in our film.
(Supporting) Porter is completely entranced by the curse, and is performing his role in the play without awareness.
