The company is holding auditions for "Gaslight" production and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: As mysterious footsteps echo and gaslights dim in their oppressive New York mansion, Bella grows increasingly unsettled. What begins as harmless forgetfulness - her losing a receipt here, misplacing a cufflink there - turns into a bigger problem when her father-in-law's portrait goes missing. Has she really disposed of it as her husband attests? And if so, why can't she remember...? In this bold take on the classic thriller, a woman must find the courage to trust her own mind, as her husband's cruel, methodical manipulation threatens to snap her once and for all. Rate: Please note, as this is a college production, all roles are unpaid. Additional info: Callbacks: By invitation only. Thursday, March 13 from 7-10pm. If you are unable to attend callbacks, please let directors know at the time of scheduling your audition. Time Commitment: Gaslight will rehearse Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday from 7-10pm, and Saturday OR Sunday from 2-5pm, with some exceptions. Please see the attached calendar. Material To Prepare: Please prepare a 1-2-minute monologue of any era (contemporary, classic, Shakespeare, Chekhov, etc.) for the audition. If interested, please apply.

Beautiful, attentive, open-hearted, unsettled. Bella is smart and strong, despite being in a situation that has been driving her mad.
Charming, handsome, ambitious, strategic, secretive. Jack is incredibly charming and has been executing a years-long plan to achieve his goal.
Clever, determined/dogged, eccentric, buoyant. British. Rough never gives up, and is a true stand-up officer of the law. *Requires strong physical theatre skills. British accent a bonus.
Direct, capable, loyal. Elizabeth is the senior maid in the Manningham household.
Out-spoken, pretty, bold. Nancy is a young maid in the Manningham household. She receives a lot of attention from men and knows how to use it.
Generous, eerie. Alice Barlow was a generous older woman who was murdered by a thief and conman. She has no written lines, but will appear as a physical presence in the scene. She may be double-cast with another role.
(Extras). Professional. Two police officers appear at the end to haul Jack out of the house.
