About the project: Independent narrative short film, inspired by the works of Charlie Chaplin, Pixar, and the eternal pursuit of becoming our own best audience member. "When a novice Magician drops the ball on his first public performance, a faint laugh sets into motion a journey of self rediscovery." Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer. The Magician is the kind of kid that would sit at the back of class and juggle all day instead of doing any classwork. Magic has been with him for as long as he can remember, and he couldn't imagine a life without it. He kept to himself, and just kept doing what he loved. He's ambitious, hopeful, and passionate about his craft, so much so it's left him feeling alone and alienated from the world around him.
