Acting Job in Upcoming Short Film

About the project: Jean, a young man hardened by a troubled past, tries one last time to make amends with his lover, who has left him. With a burned CD in hand, he waits for her in the quiet of the communal park of her estate, his calls to her going unanswered. As the weight of her absence kicks in and his denial turns into rage, a street-performing mime appears. The mime, who mirrors Jean's violent unraveling, forces him instead to reckon with his own despair. The film explores a man's encounter with a mime, who serves as a vessel of absurdity and surrealism that forces him to break free from his hardened exterior. The film be entirely in French. Rate: Non union. PAID - However this is an independently funded project with a smaller budget. Food and beverages will also be provided. Additional information: Genre: Drama, Comedy. Role: Jean possess an air of intensity, carrying his anger like an amour against a world that has never given him the chance to be anything else. Physicality: Tall and strong build, sharp and striking features. Buzzcut or very short hair preferred. Other requirements: Actor must be fluent in French.
The mime is a silent mirror to Jean, a force that strips away his defenses, exposing the buried misery beneath his anger and forcing him to confront the truths he refuses to face. Physicality: Ideally slim build. Other requirements: Must have at least several years experiencing in miming or clowning professionally.
