ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting actors for a short student film "Dynamo Duo". More details are below. About the project: Two film students, Billy and Austin have a promise with each other to always dress ecstatically in unconventional clothing for all major events that they attended. Meanwhile their antagonist, Alice bully's the iconic western duo because of her own insecurity's. To prove to themselves that their individuality sets them apart they must reconnect through a set of challenges for a competition. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Lunch provided - TTC transportation covered. Additional information: Shooting will take place from March 11th-12th in Toronto, ON. A first year in college who loves everything about westerns so much so that when he isn't dressed up, he compensates through a hint of clothing (boots or vest). Although he is short tempered, he is quite excitable and friendly, and so he tries to make friends with everyone he can. He is also very oblivious to the bullying he receives from his peer Alice and her friends, because of this he mostly relies on Billy to set the standard. This tends to cause him problems as he is quick to respond.
A first year in college who shares a love of westerns with his best friend Austin. The pair made an agreement to wear western attire for all the major events they share together in college. He is confident in almost everything he does, but he notices when people condemn him over his choices and strives for their favor. Although the outward pressure of his peers makes him more competitive. At his core he deeply enjoys dressing up with his friend despite the negative attention.
Supporting role. A second year in college who's a perfectionist and isn't afraid to undermine others in her way. With a group of friends who follow her every move, she always presents the optimal version of herself for them to look up to. But Alice is insecure about her real interests, which is why she chooses to intimidate Billy and Austin. Unlike her they are free to express themselves without fear of rejection.
