Open Roles in "Chemistry" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking cast to play roles in production of "Chemistry". More details are below. About the project: Where Chemistry turns into chemistry – Anna Headley and Miles Kinnaird are university students paired up for a Chemistry lab research project. The two of them, spending more time together, come to realise they have feelings for each other. As the project comes to an end, all they need is a push in the right direction. Rate: Non-Union. This is an unpaid, non-union student production. Additional information: Shoot/Performance Date(s) March 1st or 2nd, and 14th-17th (TBD). Shoot/Performance Location(s) Vancouver. There will be a student-led director's shoot on March 1st or 2nd (instructor schedule dependant) (only a couple hours), and filming for the main film will take place in mid-March, approx. 3 days or so, between the 14th-17th. Submission Deadline February 20, 2025. When applying, please submit a head shot, resume and demo reel.

Anna is an intelligent, independent student, with a passion for the sciences. She is sure of herself and caring for those close to her. She favours a comfortable fashion sense with sneakers, a bright colour palette, and fluffy, voluminous hair. Inspired by the character of Jemma Simmons from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., played by Elizabeth Henstridge. Her dynamic with Kinnaird is inspired by her relationship with Leo Fitz from the same show.
Kinnaird, always addressed by his last name, is a bright, innovative student, with a love for science. He's a little awkward and nervous, but passionate about his interests and work. He wears a lot of flannel and hoodies, with converse. Inspired by the character of Leo Fitz from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., played by Iain De Caestecker. His dynamic with Anna is inspired by his relationship with Jemma Simmons from the same show.
Lexi is Anna's roommate and best friend. A supporting role with a couple scenes. Lexi is an architecture student who favours a "clean girl" aesthetic, with lots of light colours and leather jackets, boots and Mary Janes.
Connor is Kinnaird's roommate and best friend. A supporting role with a couple scenes. Connor is a mechanical engineering student who spends his days not in class lounging in pyjamas and sweatpants.
