About the project: PILOT LOGLINE: Jason, a broke drug dealer caring for his sick mother, gets an anonymous call for a high-paying delivery job. He unknowingly picks up the wrong bag, one full of cash, and is pulled into The Runners, an underground courier service. Iris, the mastermind behind it all, reveals that Jason has stolen from the Vendettis, a powerful crime family. As he completes deliveries, Jason grows suspicious, while his old friend Dion becomes too curious and someone connected to the Vendetti's watches from the shadows. SERIES LOGLINE: When a struggling young drug dealer unknowingly steals from the city’s most feared crime family, he becomes the unsuspecting pawn in a silent war orchestrated by a brilliant underground mastermind. As he’s pulled deeper into a deadly game of power, deception, and survival, the only way out may be bringing down the empire that secretly runs the city. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Protagonist/Lead. BIPOC preferred. Jason is a bit of a lost soul, selling drugs due to circumstance even though he is university educated. His main desires come from a lack of money, which he needs not only to survive but to take care of his sick mother.
Supporting Lead. VOICE ONLY ROLE (for episode 1). Iris is the leader of The Runners, a secretive delivery service for the elite and dangerous. They are an underground boss and planning a revolution.
Antagonist. Dion works for the Vendetti Group, the family that truly runs the city at all levels. He is one of Jason’s customers, and is very eccentric but intimidating.
Supporting. Castor is Jason’s best friend from university, who was able to find a good job easily due to family connections. They have lived a sheltered life and never gone without, leaving them naive and unserious, but loyal.
