Casting Call for "Knockout" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently seeking performers for a new show "Knockout" coming this April. More detais are below. About the show: “Welcome to BFFtv, the only broadcast network that follows the nail-biting and soul-destroying competition of female friendship! We’re your hosts, Tim Mann and Steve Guy, and tonight we’re continuing to track the career of one Meg “Panic Attack” Warren in her final showdown against fan-favourite Blair “Chaotic Bisexual” Turner. This match is not one to miss, folks! There will be overanalyzed text messages, drunk girl conversations, and (maybe) even sexual tension. And one thing is for sure, there is no possibility that either competitor will make it out of this unscathed. On your marks, get set, go!” Rate: This will be a profit-share production and any member of CAEA may be engaged under the ITA. When applying, please submit your self-tapes by February 28th.
4 roles
Femme, charismatic and outgoing. Wears almost exclusively pink. Affectionate and caring. Overly confident to mask anxiety.
The main character. Funny, thoughtful, and anxious. Loves way too hard and often gets hurt because of it. Sees every relationships as a competition she is constantly losing.
Announcer at BFFtv (a ESPN style broadcast about female friendship). Cynical and condescending. Professional mansplainer. Not evil but almost.
The other announcer at BFFtv. Less intentionally rude, but has his moments. Overdramatic. Naively optimistic.
