Adult Xavier is hardened and carries the weight of past mistakes and a fractured friendship. He is bitter and exhausted. His once playful nature has been replaced with a cool, distant demeanor, though flashes of vulnerability break through during heated confrontations.
Adult Nick is tough, defiant, and emotionally guarded. While he masks his pain with bravado and sharp wit, there's a clear undercurrent of regret and longing for the friendship he once had with Xavier. He’s quick to anger but equally quick to deflect emotional wounds with sarcasm.
