Performers Needed for Theatre Audition "Crash Cart"
Actors needed for play "Crash Cart". Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Play Synopsis: Get ready for a crazy farce that takes place in the 1960s at Riverside General Hospital! The emergency room may not have all the medical bells and whistles of the “modern” Trauma Center in town, but if laughter is the best medicine, you came to the right place. You’ll meet a new intern, Dr. Ted, who makes up for his lack of experience as a doctor by performing silly magic tricks and telling corny jokes. He becomes anxious on his first day of work when he encounters a young ditzy nurse and a scruffy janitor in a compromising position during his tour with the head nurse. Dr. Ted has no time to prepare as a very pregnant woman, an older lady with the heart of gold, and a sly prisoner all show up at once in the ER and he soon learns there is more to these patients than meets the eye. Additional info: No experience is required. There will be a read through the week of auditions. Rehearsals begin Monday, March 3, 2025, and then generally four nights per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, but may be adjusted to actor’s scheduling conflicts), until tech week. Bring your calendar to auditions and be prepared to list all potential conflicts. Excerpts from the script will be provided and no monologues are necessary. CORNY JOKES ARE WELCOME! Show dates: May 1 - 11. If you are interested, please apply.
