(Lead) - Mid 20s. A quirky, artistic, and ambitious young woman determined to make it as a film director despite self-doubt and external support, her biggest obstacle is her own fear of failure. Jane is passionate, creative, and resilient, with a deeply emotional journey from uncertainty to confidence. Must be able to convey a wide range of emotions and have a strong onscreen presence.
(Supporting) - Mid-30s. A charismatic, A-list Hollywood actor who recognizes Jane’s talent and offers her an opportunity to shadow his director. Logan is cool, confident, and encouraging - a mentor figure who believes in Jane even when she doubts herself. Looking for someone with natural charm and subtle emotional depth.
(Supporting, Voice-Only Role). Jane's mother is only heard through phone conversations. She’s supportive, and nurturing, and encourages Jane to follow her dreams. Must deliver warmth, reassurance, and emotional weight through voice alone.
(Supporting). A no-nonsense film director who initially doubts Jane but later acknowledges her talent. Sara is tough, professional, and sharp but ultimately fair and encouraging when she sees Jane’s potential.
